DVD

DVD-Video is a popular way to distribute and view programs. At Magnacom we have the capability to direct record to DVD without complicated and time consuming authoring. Using a Pioneer LX-1 professional recorder with Serial Digital input and output, we can quickly create pristine copies of your show in either widescreen or standard aspect ratios.

These DVD copies can be used for traditional distribution to your local or distant audiences, and have now just about completely replaced VHS for this purpose.

DVD is also ideal for trade show expo playback of demo videos in your booth, or for large screen video projection. DVD copies that we produce are guaranteed to play in any DVD player and in most computers.

If you require an interactive DVD with extensive menu options, Magnacom utilizes a Digital Rapids Stream Z encoder for highest quality compression to MPEG-2. The menu authoring is performed using Adobe Encore software. This combination of tools yields an exceptional result in terms of quality and performance.

Two methods are used to economically produce multiple copies of your DVD. Digital recording (sometimes called “burning”) is suitable for up to 300 copies. Beyond that we recommend a glass master, which is sent for mass replication or “stamping” at one or more North American plants.
